All small furries should have their nails, eyes, ears and rear ends checked regularly to ensure optimum heath as they tend to suffer more from fly strike and mite and flea infestations. If they are not treated they can lose condition quickly.

 

With regular nail trimming it can help stop handlers, especially children, getting scratched.

 

Rabbits and guinea pigs need their teeth checking reqularly to ensure they are not overgrown or abcessed causing them alot of pain.
